Wendy Day, DVM
Dr. Wendy Day is the most recent doctor to join Audubon Animal Hospital in St. Francisville. She is excited to work in the town she now calls home. She is from Baton Rouge and moved to St. Francisville in the Fall of 2011 with her high school sweetheart, Rusty Day. They married in 2002 and in 2014, Dr. Day and her husband welcomed their daughter, Rayne, into this world.
Dr. Day received her bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University in 2002. In 2008, she received her Doctorate Degree from LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine where she also was selected for the honorable duties of caring for Mike the Tiger V and VI during her third and fourth year of school. After graduation she moved to Zachary and practiced mixed animal medicine for 2.5 years. She has continued to practice small animal medicine and has also practiced emergency animal medicine in several clinics in Baton Rouge.
While Dr. Day enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially outdoors, she also loves the companionship of her own dogs, cats and tortoise. Dr. Day is an active member of the AVMA, LVMA and a former president of the BRAVMA. She truly enjoys veterinary dentistry, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine. Dr. Wendy Day looks forward to serving her St. Francisville community by providing exceptional care for their pets.
